The nature of woman's sexual expression

Postby Esybron » Thu Jan 14, 2010 10:16 pm

What we have discovered in over a half-century of talking and working with women is their sexuality is widely diverse. Ever since Homo sapiens came to be, women have united in their struggle to survive. What do you believe, is same-sex orientation an innate aspect of woman's sexuality or is it simply a lifestyle choice? Add your voice to the discussion and help us better understand woman's sexual diversity.

I feel a woman desiring the affection of another woman is an innate aspect of her sexuality and not a lifestyle choice. I was raised in a very religious strict home where not only lesbianism was considered wrong, but also masturbation. Yet even in my early teens, I felt a strong attraction to many of my female classmates. It was a long time before I acted on those desires, but they were there from my earliest years, despite knowing my parents would strongly disapprove.

I have spoken with a number of young women with backgrounds similar to mine and all have at some time desired to either have sex or at least a deep physical intimacy with another woman, even though they may not have acted on it. In candid discussions with trusted friends, virtually every women admits to desiring to experience the affection of another woman. Choosing to act on it is the lifestyle choice often influenced by your early environment, but having the desire is normal and part of normal sexuality.

i do believe that it's an innate desire, because every since I could remember, i've always like to touch and be touched by women just as much as i have from men. my first sexual encounters and most intimate emotions I expressed with women... hunching/fondling/kissing in elementary school. one of my first "relationships" was with a girl, and i've never NOT been attracted to women. however as i get older, i think that i'm more physically, sexually, romantically, socially, intimately and completely attracted to woman, and for men it's more so just sexually and socially. I dont mnid having men friends and I'm just the mothering type, and they do provide the other half of the recipe. lol but overall, it's only natural for us to be attracted to one another.
