Pornography is degrading

I asked for this forum to test the waters as to how you all feel about this industry and its effects on all of us. So that I do not pollute the pool, I will refrain from offering my opinion. I would very much like to read yours. Thank you.

To me there are several issues that have made me think. Pornography, prostitution and abortion are three of them.

After a lot of thought, I have come to realize a few facts, one is that while I feel that it would destroy me personally, I cannot decide for another woman. Each of us has to own our own bodies and decide for ourselves what is right for us.

If a woman decides that she wants to act in a pornographic film, it is her decision as it is her body. If she decides without coercion, with other options avail to her and it does her no harm emotionally, I have no right to force her into another decision.

That said, I will be against anything that forces anyone into anything that takes away her right to decide or anything that forces someone into participating as a minor.

Yes, we are each our own keepers, each of us differ from one another and that is something the researchers, scientists, and sexologists fail to recognize. We are not sheep. And, yes any of us who freely elect to pursue any interest, sexual or not, is expressing our birthright, autonomy. Thank you gis for the insight and welcome to our home.
